Frequently asked questions

  1. Why 7% you may ask?

    • Well first and foremost, we want to be fair. Both fair to you for your ideas and work you have put in thus far, and fair to us for putting money at risk, as well as the time and effort of our development team. After consulting patent laywers and other research materials, 7.0% comes to be the accepted average for royalty payments of this type.

  2. Should I file a Patent first?

    • We signed an NDA remember!? You are completely protected from Brock Endeavors ‘stealing’ your idea.

    • In our experience for most inventors, patents are rarely worth the effort. The exception the rule is if you are inventing a new technology, or medical drug. You see, patents are expensive ($8,000 - $15,000), and when push comes to shove, they really don’t protect you form copy-cats, they just give you the right to sue copy-cats. If you would like more detailed information or advice, talk to a Patent Lawyer.

  3. So how do I make money again?

    • We base all of our Inventor Partnerships around a shared revenue agreement - it’s kind of like working with a publisher. Brock Endeavors takes on all of the investment cost, engineering, design, operations, and distribution. Once your product idea is shared with us, we run with it and send you a royalty check every quarter (3 months) based on 7% of sales.
